Después de pasar un año en la fría y gris Alemania, un semestre en la colorida, llena de vida y siempre cálida Barcelona, parece un sueño.
Barcelona es una ciudad totalmente imprevisible. Nunca sabes que te vas a encontrar al girar la esquina. El Raval, situado a la izquierda de la calle principal Las Rambla, es un punto de fusión entre las diferentes nacionalidades; Al visitar la famosa Sagrada Familia, te sumerges en un ambiente de calma rodeado de una increíble naturaleza. Más abajo de la siempre concurrida Plaça Catalunya, está el puerto de Barcelona y la misteriosa estatua de Colón, nadie es capaz de determinar porque Colon señala a Italia en vez de a América. En los cafés y cervecerías siempre puedes conocer españoles, estos siempre muy educados e interesantes, con los que compartir una copa de sangría y unas tapas.
After one year spent in a cold and “grey” Germany, even one semester in a colorful, full of life and always warm Barcelona seems to be a dream.
The city is an unpredictable area. You never know what to expect to see after the next corner. Just turning left from the main street La Ramblas you find yourself in a melting pot sector (Raval) with people of all the nationalities; going straight ahead from the famous Sagrada Familia you reach a calm area with amazing nature; running down from the always crowded Plaza Catalunya one can find the sea port and the mysterious monument of Columbus (no one can precisely determine why he is pointing in the direction to Italy and not to America) or you can easily meet and enjoy the free time with extremely polite and interesting Spanish people in cozy cervecerias (Spanish cafes) with sangria and a bunch of different tapas.
Cuando empiezas a explorar la ciudad enseguida te das cuenta que no se puede descubrir Barcelona usando un mapa. Para entender el ambiente de la ciudad, tienes que sentir la maravillosa arquitectura de Gaudí, perderte en las pequeñas y estrechas calles del Barri Gòtic, disfrutar de la cocina española y visitar los pequeños vecindarios donde poder conocer más sobre la cultura y la historia de Catalunya.
