El pasado 7 de noviembre, tuvo lugar en ESERP–Madrid, la Conferencia a cargo de la Management School of Maastricht, impartida por los Profesores Dr. Leo Lannen Director General de IFMEC (International Facility Management Expert Center de Holanda), Dr. Jan Van Dalen (Profesor de Management y Estrategia Organizacional de la Maastricht School of Management de Holanda) y el Sr. Michel Tobé (Facility Manager Rabobank Zuid-Holland Midden).
El Dr. Leo Lannen realizó una introducción sobre FM (Facility Management) su definición y sus funciones.
En Holanda y otros países europeos, el mantenimiento tiene una definición más amplia que la simple gestión de edificios y servicios. La definición de FM que da el Comité Europeo de Normalización (CEN) y ratificada por la BSI ‘British Standards’ es:
FM es la integración de procesos dentro de una organización (empresa) para mantener y desarrollar los servicios acordados que mejoren y respalden (mantengan) la efectividad de sus actividades primarias.
En España, la SEFM (Sociedad Española de Facility Management) define esta disciplina como:
Facility Management es un modelo de gestión de los recursos inmobiliarios de las empresas que tiene como objetivo la adecuación permanente de éstos a la organización y equipo humano de las compañías al menor coste posible, mediante la integración de todas las responsabilidades de gestión sobre dichos recursos en la figura del Facility Manager.
El Dr. Jan Van Dalen, uno de los profesores más importantes de Europa expuso su ponencia bajo el título “Strategic organisational transformations”.
Y el profesor Michel Tobé, nos proporcionó un Enfoque estratégico sobre la Arquitectura y su utilidad en su exposición titulada “Architecture and usability, a strategic approach”.
Ésta Conferencia a cargo de la Management School of Maastricht ha sido la primera de este curso 2011-12 del Ciclo de Conferencias anuales que organiza ESERP en colaboración con las distintas Universidades y Escuelas de Negocios de Europa.

In Spain, the SEFM (Spanish Society of Facility Management) defines this subject as follows:
Facility Management is a pattern of management on real estate resources of those companies having as aim the permanent adaptation of the referred resources for the company’s organisation and staff at the lowest cost possible, through the integration of all the management responsibilities on said resources within the profile of Facility Manager
Dr. Jan Van Dalen, one of the most important Professors in Europe, expounded his presentation under the title “Strategic organisational transformations”.
And Professor Michel Tobé, gave us a Strategic approach on Architecture and its usability in his presentation under the titlle “Architecture and usability, a strategic approach”.
This lecture in charge of the Management School of Maastricht has been the first one during the present course 2011-12 within the Cycle of Annual Lectures arranged by ESERP in cooperation with several Universities and Business Schools in Europe.
